TURN TRASH INTO WEARABLE ART!
Our amazing Main Street visionaries have conjured up a delightful weekend on April 25 and 26, the Second Chance Festival, at the newly remodeled Community Building. The Festival features the Repair Cafe (where folks can bring a wide variety of items needing repair and a panel of talented repair folks will try to fix them all) and “THE TRASHION SHOW – Built from the Bin”. Hours are Saturday 10am to 6pm, and Sunday 10am to 4pm.
The trashy fashion runway show is guaranteed fun for anyone who would like to make a couture-worthy outfit using any and all things thrown away, recycled, reused, repurposed, reclaimed, and rescued from the bin!

Create any trashy wearable art and have it ready to display on Saturday, April 25th from 10am to 6pm during the Repair Cafe. Entries can be displayed on a mannequin or dressform or laid out on a table. Voting will happen all day for the People’s Choice Award (a $100 gift certificate for a shopping spree at Nicki’s Knick Knacks!).
Display of all fashion/Trashion entries continues on Sunday, April 26th, starting at 10am. The runway TRASHION SHOW happens at 1pm, when all of the fabulously trashy entries will be modeled and the judging will occur. Model your own entry or coax a buddy to be your model or use a dressform or imaginative freestanding display. First prize is $150!!!!!!! Second Prize is $75!
