“Almost Autumn”
September 13th will be the final Second Saturday Art Walk of the Summer 2025 season, and there are special treats planned! Nine of our galleries will be open. Strange Angels Gallery & Gifts is offering complimentary cider. Katamorphic Gallery & Gifts is handing out free “Almost Halloween” Trick or Treat grab bags. Also check out the beautiful new botanical mural-in-progress being painted on the front of the gallery by artist/owner Kathee Woods.
As a very special addition to this Second Saturday, all three local Port Orford historical treasures will be open from 10:30am to 3:30pm and each will have wonderful art on display. Take a late summer drive up to the Port Orford Lifeboat Station Museum. Drive out to the Hughes House and Cape Blanco Lighthouse. We expect glorious mid-September weather!
Enjoy one last Second Saturday summer stroll around town visiting our galleries. It is almost autumn!

- Check out the progress of the new colorful mural of giant botanicals being painted by artist/owner Kathee Woods on the east facade of her home/gallery.
- Halloween starts early at Kat’s Corner! Check out the ongoing decorating.
- Find Halloween treasures galore at The Bohemian Grotto special Halloween section. Skulls, crows, beaded pumpkins, little black cat candles, Day of the Dead, retro Halloween cutouts, and more!

Special September Additions!
All three Port Orford Historical sites will be open during this final September Second Saturday of the 2025 season, and all three are packed with ART ART ART!
The Port Orford Lifeboat Station Museum (10:30am – 3:30pm), celebrating the 25th Anniversary of being open as a public museum.
- Paintings and dioramas by Warren Hulbert
- Sculpture by Tim Flake made from wood from a boat used by his father, Odell, to rescued people.
- Museum scale dioramas by Roger Rasmussen
The Hughes House (10:30am – 3:30pm)
- ART ART ART on display at the new Gift Shop, including works from the Save Our Lighthouse exhibit by Deb Myseiwicz, Becky Raymond, and William Gaetjens.
- Dioramas by Warren Hulbert and Roger Rasmussen
- Come see the beautiful new roof courtesy of the 2025 Hughes House restoration efforts by Oregon State Parks.
Cape Blanco Lighthouse (10:30am – 3:30pm)
- ART ART ART on display by Darren Evans, Rebecca Malamud-Evans, Russ Gibson, and Charles Ziga.
- Work-in-Progress exhibit, “AtoN” (Aids to Navigation) featuring research by Cape Blanco Heritage Society Citizen Historians.
- Dioramas by Warren Hulbert and Roger Rasmussen.
